2beHotel Kind of Blue - Maastricht

2beHotel Kind of Blue is het jongste kleinschalige designhotel in Maastricht. Het hotel is gelegen in het stadsdeel Wyck (centrum) op 2 minuten loopafstand van het station, temidden tussen het oude en nieuwe Maastricht. Het bed & breakfast Hotel is gevestigd in een dubbel oud herenhuis, waar Nicole, René en kids ook wonen.
Er zijn 2 kamers en een luxueuze suite voor gasten beschikbaar. De kamers zijn ontworpen en ingericht door de architect Niek Bisscheroux. Beton en Hout zijn de centrale materialen geworden in de ruimtes. Openheid en de symbiose tussen oud en nieuw waren de centrale thema’s bij het ontwerp van de kamers en dat is weer duidelijk zichtbaar in bijvoorbeeld de keuze voor het behoud van de originele plafonds in combinatie met de Ribbon Chair van Pierre Paulin in de suite.
De filosofie van Nicole en René is dat gasten zich ten allen tijde op een bijzondere wijze thuis moeten voelen onder het motto “vrijheid, blijheid”. Bovendien moeten ze maximaal genieten van wat de kamer, de gastvrijheid van hen en Maastricht te bieden heeft.

2beHotel Kind of Blue The most recent designhotel in Maastricht The hotel is located in the neighbourhood called "Wijck", just 2 minutes by foot from the station, right in the middle of the old and new parts of Maastricht. The Bed and Breakfast is situated in two brown brick stone houses, where Nicole and Rene live together with their two kids too.
There are 2 guest rooms and a luxurious suite, which have been designed by the architect Niek Bisscheroux. Concrete and wood are the main construction materials. Open spaces and the symbiosis between old and new were the themes that inspired the design of the rooms; this is clearly seen in the preservation of the original plaster ceilings together with lovely Ribbon Chairs from Pierre Paulin.
Through the inspirational design of the house and their hospitality, Nicole and Rene hope to offer their guests a pleasant stay.

In "Kind of Blue" art expositions are regularly organised with young artist.Until October 2006 the Utrechtse fotographer Hilgo Bruining will show his work. In the guest rooms a selection of fotos of the Amsterdam Canal Pride and The Maastricht Carnaval are exhibited.

In “Kind of Blue” wordt wisselend een expositie ingericht van (jonge) kunstenaars. Op dit moment is dat tot oktober 2006 een foto-expositie van de Utrechtse fotograaf Hilgo Bruining. Onder het thema “Pantomime” tref je op de kamers “scenes from the Amsterdam Canal Pride and the Maastricht Carnaval” aan.
